Everywhere Simon looks he sees a world in turmoil. Headlines scream at him about terrorism and pandemics, televisions extoll the intricasies of war and the word on everyone's lips is what happens when the economy fails. We get a sense that the world is falling into chaos and that no one knows what is going to come next. Simon continues to walk and becomes more and more catatonic as he tries to suppress the images he is being bombarded with.

Soon Simon finds a cafe. He sits on a street bench next to the cafe and listens to the street around him. It is a sunny day and the sky is a clear brilliant blue. As he closes his eyes to feel the sun on his face, he overhears another conversation between a man and a woman. The couple speak of another, very different, problem until Simon witnesses the arrival of another man. It is apparent that these three people are involved in a "love triangle". Simon leaves as the three start to get into a very heated, almost violent exchange. As Simon walks away, the two men begin fighting, both eventually falling on a table and breaking things as the woman looks on screaming at them to stop. Others in the cafe get up and move out of the way of the brawl, a police car arrives. Simon walks away seemingly detached and the action recedes in the distance as he continues looks to the sun only to find a cloud moving over it.
